Requesting an Inspection 

Here's how to request an inspection

1. Choose your preferred method:

• Online: Submit an online request through the City's website https://norwichct.portal.opengov.com/. This method is prioritized.
• Phone: Call the administrative staff, Alba at (860) 823-3766 or Ana at (860) 823-3739.

2. Be prepared to provide the following information:

• Type of inspection: Specify the type of inspection you need (e.g., building, life safety code, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
• Property address: Indicate the address of the property requiring inspection.
• Permit information (if applicable): If you have a permit related to the inspection, have the permit number or details readily available.

3. Additional notes:

• Scheduling: Be aware that inspections might be booked 14 days or more in advance during high volume periods.
• Older permits: If your permit is from the older computer system, contacting the admin staff might be necessary to access it.
