  • QPR ("Question, Persuade, Refer") Suicide Prevention Training This training is available for schools, youth groups and community groups. Contact Angelo @ 860-823-3782 acallis@cityofnorwich.org


  • The Council for Boys & Young Men - Starts March 12, 2018. This group is being offered at both the 6th Grade Academy & Kelly Middle School after school and meets once a week after school. Participants will identify social-emotional messages, experiences and attitudes. They will learn how to recognize and express their emotions, build self-confidence, learn about teamwork and role expectations through interactive games and challenges. Transportation and snacks will be provided. Those who complete the program will earn a field trip and gift card incentive.   • A Wellness Program for Middle School Students - Begins March 6, 2018 - 15 week program that allows students the opportunity to try various interactive activities, such as karate, boxing, yoga, art, drumming, dance, and hooping. While participating in these activities, students will begin to learn and develop skills related to leadership, communication, coping strategies and more. This program meets three times a week (Tues, Thurs, Fri) and students are encouraged to participate in all three sessions each week. This FREE program runs from 2:45 pm - 5:00 pm. 30 minutes of this time is dedicated to homework.  Students will take the 5:00 late bus home. Program does not run on half days, professional development days (LED), and holidays. Supper is included for each student. Enrollment in this program is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
