All programs posted are open for registration unless otherwise specified. Registration must be done in advance. In order to insure the continuance of our programs, each program has a specified registration deadline (unless otherwise specified); a $10 late fee will apply to all registrations received after registration deadlines. The Recreation Dept. reserves the right to cancel any program that does not meet minimum enrollment requirements. We do not call to confirm registrations - your receipt is your confirmation. Registrations can be dropped of at the Rec. Office between the hours of 8am-1pm; there is a drop box located right next to the main door for after hour drop-offs. Registrations can also be faxed to 860-823-3830 or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Payment is due with registration for all programs and trips. Advanced payment is required for all programs. CASH PAYMENTS NOT ACCEPTED. All checks or money orders must be made payable to the “NORWICH RECREATION” and can be either mailed to the Recreation Department office or delivered in person. A $20.00 fee will be charged for all returned checks. Debit/ credit is accepted and can be taken over the phone.
Scholarships will be awarded if money becomes available. For more information contact the Recreation Department.
Refunds will not be issued unless a program is canceled by the Recreation Department; if insufficient enrollment causes the cancellation of a class, a full refund will be given. There are no refunds for camps, trips and Special Events.
There may be times it is necessary for us to cancel programs due to circumstances beyond our control. We will make every effort to notify participants of cancellations and makeup class dates. We will automatically cancel our programs whenever the Norwich Public Schools are closed and when they cancel all after school programs. We will make efforts to post cancellations on WICH radio 1310 AM, WFSB TV, and WFSB.com. You may also call 860-823-3791 for cancellation information after regular office hours.
Any photographs taken of any participants of the Norwich Recreation Department programs or activities may be used for publication or advertising materials such as brochures and flyers. Any participant not wishing to have a photograph of them used must submit a request in writing not to be photographed at the time of registration.
